Autonomic Nervous System
Heart’s contractions are regulated by an autonomic nervous system which are:
- Sympathetic
- Parasympathetic nervous system
Sympathetic nerves arise from medulla oblongata and attached to sinus node, AV node and other myocardium
Parasympathetic nerves, the vagus nerve (cranial nerve X) innervates the sinus node and AV node
