Dr. Miller has been working extensively in the field of holistic education for 35 years. He is the author/editor for 17 books on holistic learning and contemplative practices in education which had been translated into 8 languages. Notable titles include “The Holistic Curriculum”, “Holistic Learning”, and “Educating for Wisdom and Compassion”.

Bobbi is an early pioneer in the applications of accelerated learning and is well-known for her SuperCamp programs revolving around life skills that cultivate self-esteem and confidence. Her vision is to help children realize their personal greatness through accelerated learning techniques.

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Nair KMN
Deputy Vice-Chancellor
Taylor’s University

Dr. Pradeep Kumar Nair is a highly experienced educator and leader, with more than 23 years of experience in the higher education industry. He is currently the Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Taylor’s University. Prior to this, he has held a number of key positions during his career, including Chief Operating Officer of Taylor’s College, Petaling Jaya (2005-2009, Taylor’s Business School (2005- 2009), and Taylor’s School of Hospitality and Tourism (2001-2009).

His leadership at these institutions led them to some important awards, among them, Culinary Institution of the Year (World Gourmet Summit, 2012), Hospitality Institution of the Year (Hospitality Asia, 2008-2013), Putra Brand Gold Award for Taylor’s University (2010-2013), and Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Gold Award (2011-2013).

Dr. Pradeep himself is also highly decorated for his contributions to the field. In 2012, he won
the World Education Congress Leadership Excellence Award for Exemplary Leadership in Higher Education and was also selected as one of the Top 100 personalities by Hospitality Asia Magazine (2008). In 2011, he was awarded the Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN) [Officer of the Order of the Defender of the Realm] by His Majesty, the King of Malaysia.

Dr. Pradeep leads the university’s efforts to introduce new teaching and learning standards and practices including widespread use of technology in lectures. He also lectures at the post-graduate level and is a sought after corporate trainer and speaker, having given more than 30 keynote addresses and speeches. In 2014, he gave the keynote address at the 7th China–ASEAN International Cooperation Seminar on Private Education and the 1st Annual Global Congress of Knowledge Economy.

Dr. Pradeep holds a PhD in Education Management from Asia e University, Master of Education (Education Management) from Universiti Malaya, Bachelor of Science (Hons) from University of Calicut and is a Certified Neuro-Linguistic Practitioner.

Mr. Lim Tou Boon
President
Taylor’s College

As President, a position he has held since 2009, Lim Tou Boon is responsible for the overall business strategies and academic operations at Taylor’s College. In 2011, Taylor’s College Subang Jaya achieved the highest possible 6-star rating in the MyQUEST (Malaysia Quality Evaluation System for Private Colleges) from the Ministry of Education, Malaysia and in 2013, Taylor’s College Subang Jaya and Taylor’s College Sri Hartamas were the only colleges in Malaysia to be awarded the MyQUEST 6-star rating. He is passionate about delivering learning skills, life skills and leadership skills at Taylor’s College to support the Taylor’s Education Group Holistic Education focus and in the process, drive the College towards the achievement of its Mission: ‘All students in universities of their choice.’

Prior to this appointment, he held the position of Provost, Taylor’s University College from 2007. In this position, he was directly accountable for all academic matters at the institution. His specific responsibilities include academic policy development, academic training and academic management to support the strategic goals and direction of the institution. From 2001 through 2007, Mr. Lim served as the Registrar of Taylor's College, and held the position of Academic Director  of  Taylor’s Business School & American Degree Program in 2006 & 2007 concurrently. Mr Lim joined Taylor’s College in July 1998.

Key initiatives such as the Taylor’s Graduate Capabilities and the Taylor’s Teaching and Learning Framework took shape under his leadership. Mr Lim is passionate about the Purpose of Taylor’s, which is to educate the youth of the world to take their productive place as leaders in the global community. Towards this end, he is in constant engagement with the academic community at Taylor’s and other key stakeholders on the transformative education that is needed in order to achieve this outcome.

Mr Lim holds a Master of Management (Educational Management) from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Bachelor of Science (Hons) (Mathematics) from Universiti Sains Malaysia.

Mr. B.K Gan
President
Taylor’s Schools

Currently the President of Taylor's Schools, Mr. BK Gan played a pivotal role in the development of the Taylor's Schools in recent years.

An Accountant by training, Mr. BK Gan commenced his career as an Accountant in Australia. When he moved back to Malaysia, he joined a Financial institution as their Internal Auditor and eventually their Credit Manager. He then left Malaysia in 1985 and lived in Hong Kong for 19 years. For the greater part of his time in Hong Kong he was the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of a major regional stockbroking firm.

His decision to return to Malaysia in 2004 was motivated by his desire to be involved in education. He joined Taylor’s Education Group in September 2005. In his current role as President of Taylor’s Schools, he oversees the strategic planning of the long-term direction of the schools within the Group.

He also executes and manages the the long-term strategic planning of the schools portfolio which comprise of 5,700 students as of April 2014. The schools that he oversees are Garden International School, Kuala Lumpur, Garden International School, Kuantan, Sri Garden, Kuala Lumpur, Australian International School Malaysia, Nexus International School Putrajaya, Nexus International School Singapore, Taylor’s International School, Kuala Lumpur and Taylor’s International School, Puchong which is due to open in January 2015.

Apart from the schools, Taylor’s Schools runs Quantum Education which is involved in SuperCamp that is catered for kids, Quantum Learning for Teachers, Parental Workshops re Parenting and Building Strong Marriage.

Dato' Loy Teik Ngan
Group Chief Executive Officer
Taylor’s Education Group

Dato’ Loy Teik Ngan is currently the Group Chief Executive Officer of the Taylor’s Education Group. After completing university, Dato’ Loy started work immediately after in his father’s company. At the age of 26, he decided to venture out on his own and founded a company in vacation timeshare and was able to build the company into the largest vacation timeshare company in South East Asia.

In late 1997, Dato’ Loy assumed the helm of the sprawling conglomerate that his father had founded. In 2001, he acquired a stake in Taylor’s Education Sdn Bhd. With an asset base of a college and 2 schools, he has expanded its education offerings to 7 schools, 2 colleges and 2 universities operating in Malaysia, Singapore and Vietnam.

The Taylor’s Education Group has since grown to become the largest private education group in Malaysia. It is today known as the premier education group in Malaysia and its brands has been the recipient of numerous awards including Gold in the prestigious Putra Brand Awards for the 5th consecutive year in 2014. It has also won the Reader’s Digest Trusted Brand Gold Award for the past 4 consecutive years.

Believing in the power of education to both nurture and influence, in 2005 Dato’ Loy introduced a new vision that was to shape the Taylor’s Education Group. Its Core Purpose, “To educate the youth of the world to take their productive place as leaders in the global community”, has helped to define the way forward for the Taylor’s Education Group. This has led to its focus on “Holistic Education”, the idea for combining academic education with the learning of life skills and emotional awareness that will enable a more complete and thus wholesome and holistic education for students.

Dato’ Loy is guided by the philosophy of leaving a situation better than when he found it. He invests time interacting with and coaching potential future leaders of his organization. Dato’ Loy has been an active member of YPO-WPO (Young Presidents’ Organization - World Presidents’ Organization) & currently sits on the board of the Family Business Network Asia.
